Bio
Icarii Stud
Character: StarDrifter SunSoar
Series/Fandom: The Wayfarer Redemption

Age: Appears 35
Gender: Male
Species: Icarii
Sexuality: Heterosexual

Faction: The Brahmin
Crux: Faraday and StarDrifter fail to retrieve Zenith from the Shadowlands and she is lost forever to the soul of Niah.
Appearance:
His overall appearance is one of gold and light, morning and the brightness of a new day. Blue eyes the hue of fresh dew glistened sky are seductively tilted in a long, mysteriously alien face. His brows, like his long hair, are a light gilded hue, brushed into silver down near the long tips. The birdman’s form is lithe rather than broadly muscled, though his physical structure is nearly chiseled perfection, as if an artist’s careful craftsmanship has gone walking on its own. More notable are his angelic-like wings, springing like feathered snow-white sails from his shoulder-blades, curling as floating pinions down his well-shaped back.

As for style, StarDrifter is well aware of how to best accent his beautiful shape with or without many layers of clothing. He tends to dress in colors that match his hair, enjoying the hues of gold that are the staple of the SunSoar family. His grace of movement also matches his way of dressing. Always accenting his natural good looks, always aware of how every step can affect how others feel about him, even a tilt of the head carefully crafted to draw affection or offer scorn. StarDrifter is a man well aware of his body and its charms, and how to use it best to his advantage.
Personality:
Inner Sanctum: Having grown up in a world that has done nothing but offer him reward after reward for his actions, StarDrifter SunSoar is a self-confident individual who almost never second guesses his choices in life. Being adored from birth as a powerful Enchanter, he considers himself able to surmount any challenge, any obstacle, and any romantic conquest. Perhaps this is why he was the ideal medium through which the Prophecy of the Destroyer could work its purpose. For until StarDrifter learned of the part he played in its completion, he held back nothing and always acted with flamboyant abandon. Even now, knowing that he has simultaneously endangered the world and created its possible salvation, the Icarii Enchanter still has a hard time acknowledging that his carelessness affects the lives of others.

With the loss of Zenith to Niah* StarDrifter has finally come to know true regret for his own failings. Yet despite this unfortunate and unexpected loss, the ways of the past are not easily unlearned, and no doubt the well-meaning Icarii will find his way back into blissful oblivion over the cause and effect of his actions. Yet self-denial breeds beneath the surface of carelessness for no part of him really forgets the negative results of anything he has done. Somewhere deep beneath his impregnable self-confidence, StarDrifter is an individual who forgives himself last of all, and is least likely to allow himself respite from the claws of guilt. His guilt is in fact very strong for one of his kind, the Icarii often being known for their extreme lack of sensitivity and supreme arrogance.

Outer World: While the Icarii are notorious for their arrogance and aloofness especially when considering “lesser” peoples, StarDrifter is something of an oddball where the rest of his race is concerned. Most birdmen and women would consider intercourse with a human an unfortunate choice when those of their own species are available. StarDrifter on the other hand not only considers any female of any race to be desirable but has in fact wedded one such partner, Rivkah, princess of Achar. Though their relationship was eventually ended because of mutual disinterest, StarDrifter honored a human woman in a way few others of his kind would do.

Some have said that Icarii arrogance is muted in StarDrifter, becoming more unintentional obliviousness than a sense of superiority. Those mistakes the SunSoar makes, and he does make them often as is the wont of his cursed family, are often smoothed over by his charm and good-natured sincerity. He is good at diplomacy, while most of the SunSoar family is not. He is deeply caring and compassionate, where most of his race is often seen as bluff and rude. Most who meet StarDrifter SunSoar, even those who hate him, find it hard to deny that the birdman’s personality is as beautiful as his looks.

Resolution: The melding between the self and its interaction with others resolves in StarDrifer most often as a genuinely pleasant experience. Though hardly humble, the Icarii man nevertheless is highly talented at making others feel important and loved. He is surprisingly sensitive to his shortcomings (when he happens to realize them) and his inner guilt about such mistakes is obvious when he understands them. An open individual, with little to nothing to hide, StarDrifter is a likely candidate for trust and admiration. Often these emotions towards him are tempered with wry humor or muted disgust at his lack of comprehension of how others are affected by his actions.
